DESCRIPTION
This is the first song written using the Tropez that involved using samples as instruments. There are three samples in this song. The first sample is a war (played in fifths and octaves). The scratchy noise is in fact from a record player (which give the song an antiquated feel). Finally, the screamimg voices are taken from a vinyl recording of Jesus Christ Superstar. |

LYRICS
in comes the thunder rolling across the land expand your mind as you slaughter the child in your hands a boy is a man is a man is a boy is a man is a corpse on your hands in vain what have you done here and what have you seen now and where will you go now where will you be then your blood will soon be spilled on another man's land who will you be now who will you trust now see now how you are in hell? armies mounting up on the hill getting ready for the kill do they know that they're gonna die feel the pain and turn it back again see what you have become now this is what you have become now did you do it for you in the name of what you believe did you die a death you're proud of are you happy in your grave at least you're not a coward dead but not a coward we bury you at home remember your name the spoils of war have taken you away |
