Dj Tiesto - Ur

Wish I was a better man,
Wish I had a better plan for dealing with this
What am I, what am I to do now?

Maybe I should run away?
Maybe I could run away and never be found.
What am I, what am I to do?

The way I'm feeling
The dreams that I'm dreaming.
Can this really be happening?
Can this really be true?

Ur...

My love of my life,
My heart and my soul,
Just trying to keep the world from smashing, crashing in.

I had this dream the other night,
I had this crazy dream the other night.
How have I? How have I arrived here.

My heart is elated
But my head is exhausted
This is powerful magic
Can it really be true?

Ur...

My blood is in your blood,
My breathe is in your mouth.
Just trying to keep the world from smashing, crashing in.

What about us? What about all the plans that we made?
What about all those careful plans?
Just careful plans we made up
Ah, nothing's clear.

Full of fear,
Full of hope,
Full of you.

My love of my life,
My hole in my soul,
Just trying to keep the world from smashing, crashing in.

Ur...

My blood is in your blood,
Just trying to keep the world from smashing, crashing in.

Interesting lyrics from Tiesto. Ah well at least its not as disturbing as some of the other song lyrics I've read out there. I ain't judging until I hear it first because for all I know it could be a decent song.

yo homies.. i am alive for sure! i am doing great man. just trollin the burque i suppose keepin up with yall. yeh i just really love this track, the junkie xl air guitar mix version.

i listened to some of osc on the radio.
yeh, i had to extract and erase myself from the "scene" and my general lifestyle man cause i was headed down a way painful road man. from the time i met marino, til last year, about 6 years, you could ask anybody man especially marino. i went way down the spiral. just throwin my life away, givin it away. but i decided i could change. i didnt have to keep pressing towards that gentle knife. watching my self disintegrate as a person and my love for life disappeared. i refused to give up though man. i think thats really what alot of my music is about too man. intense drive and determination to survive. within myself. determination to live again. to crawl through the mud bloody and beaten and never give up. ill never be blinded. ill never accept a lie. i believe in truth. and justice. and love. those things are everlasting and indestructable. and they define the core of me.

sorry to go off sort of.
but thats what friends do huh!?
i know ghost was going through a really hard time a ways back. i hope ur better ghost.

i know iv chosen an unpopular road in, devoting my life to doing what god wants. but, it is the best choice i have ever made in my life. if anybody ever wants to know what the bible teaches.. id be happy to show you. thats what i do. i study the bible and teach others who are looking for answers. it contains the truth, answers to the questions we all have. a meaningful purpose and direction in life. and an awesome hope for the future! feel free to hit me up if any of that interest you.

Zebra, its about living in the light.....I wish nothing but the best for you!!! May I recommend a book to complement your study of the Bible - its called "When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chondron a wonderful Buddhist Nun from Nova Scotia. This book was a life saver for me and the wonderful thing about Buddhism is that you can be still be a Christian and be a Buddhist - its all about training the mind and being aware of life around you.

Just one word of advise - take it as you will - the Bible,as well as any religious text (and many Buddhists, Hindi's, Jews, Muslims, etc... will agree with this statement)is man imperfect interpretation of Divine word. That is why our view is always changing and evolving - when we reach a certain level of awareness new viewpoints and revelations open themselves, once you master that level of awareness you become aware of higher levels of divine order, on and on, this process is never static and always evolving. Just remember you are reading a persons interpretation - Gods word is from within, not without. This change you are making is coming from your own desire to work towards the light - God is within you. The Bible is only a facilitator in this change - please read other texts too, like the Bhagavad Gita, the Talmud, The Tibetan Book of the Dead, Gnostic Scriptures, the Kabbalah - you will see that many are on the same path of light you are!

And don't give up your music - that is one of gods greatest blessings!!!! To me one of the worst sins in this life is not to fully use the talents and gifts that has been given to you!

Much Blessings, Steve

hmm steve.. thank you for your commendation! but i would have to tell you that, it is not possible to be a christian and a buddhist. and that would stop me from practicing buddhism. here are just a few reasons why.
The bible teaches us that worship of God requires exclusive devotion. It would not be possible to also worship the Buddha.
the bible teaches us to "learn war no more", and buddhism teaches otherwise.
the bible teaches us to have no involvement in the politics of this world. you can clearly see even on television, buddhist are quite involved in the politics of this world. they express there hope and involvement in the governments of this world instead of looking to God for peace and security.
the bible, strictly condemns the use of idols in worship. buddhism is in direct opposition to the bibles teaching and Gods command.

those would be just a few reasons off the top of my head. so, as soon as a person started practicing buddhism, they could no longer rightfully claim to be a christian, that is, a follower of christ.

i believe that the bible is exactly what it says it is. it is the inspired word of the most high God. nothing less. and i have no doubt that such an awesome powerful God should have any problem accomplishing his exact will, even through imperfect men. it would make no sense to doubt, if you believe in God. God's name is Jehovah. which literally means "causes to become".

and i appreciate the words on my music it will always be in me man, whether im tapping on a cardboard box, painting, graphic design, guitar, its just in my blood man. all of us im sure.

Glad to see us that are struggling with life's struggles are still kicking it. We may not all share the same religious beliefs or always see eye to eye as one another but one things for sure we love to do what is our passion.

All of you that are having it rough right now:

"Try not to think of the events that are dragging you down but rather focus on the events that have been great. Think positively my friends because you may feel like you are nothing but believe me theres always going to be someone in this world that would miss you."

As a practicing Buddhist, I can tell you that not all you say is right about Buddhism... but I don't really wish to get into a religious conversation, as they usually turn out badly. There is no teaching of "know war and continue it" in Buddhism...

Generally, people generalize too much when it comes to Buddhism, just as they do with all religions I suppose, but Buddhism ends up being a ground for people to often say that much of it is "not real" or that "it makes false promises of false idols"... again I could explain for hours why this is not true, but suffice to say; I have studied MANY of the religions of the world, and what I know either way is that you should always believe in what you believe in, practice with compassion and understanding.

In that light - let's all not generalize before we fully study the religion that we're talking about, shall we?

Zebra, let me clarify a few things - The Buddha is not worshiped..... The images you see are simply the representation of an ideal - just like images of Christ or examples of an ideal. There is a temple in Burma that is built on several levels at the first level - you see full images of the Buddha - the ideal expressed in material form - as you go up the steps of the temple the image becomes more and more hidden behind a screen of stone until there is no image at all. The lesson is that in reaching union with god you go beyond form or the need of images - god is beyond any image humans can create. Buddhism in its purist form has no need for images - its best expression can be found in Zen, where mediation is done in a undecorated room to prevent distraction of the outside world.

In all the Buddhist writings I've read - I've never read any passage that promotes war.....In fact almost all of them promotes the cultivation of peace, first within oneself and once you have peace within your self that light can spread to the rest of the world. I think we can both agree that in all religions throughout the world there is the ideal, and Then the human imperfection in expressing that ideal which leads to judging each other, an "us or Them" mentality and violence in the name of our tribal deity.

About involvement in the human affairs of this world, at least when I read about Jesus in the Bible he was very involved with the day to day issues of this world. He gave service to the poor, admonished the Pharisees (Pat Robertson? Jerry Falwell?), drove the money changers from the temple (take a look at some of those fundie churches with all there glitter and glitz, and American Flags[idols?] and not think something is amiss here?) he was quite a troublemaker! Its about giving service for the good of humanity - what about the monks who are now laying down there lives, without violence, for the sake of freedom in Burma - I think Jesus would be right there with them bearing witness to the oppression that is happening now.

I have more to say, but dinner is almost done, I totally respect and support your journey towards spirit but please engage the mind as well as your heart, remember that I still truly feel that most religious writings we are now reading are interpretations of interpretations of interpretations of stories that were originally verbally passed for countless generations. In each interpretation something of the original gets lost and despite Gods greatness he/she is still dealing with imperfect beings as ourselves. Reason has as much place here as faith.......

Much Blessings!
