DESCRIPTION
God is a rhythmic work based almost entirely on complex polyrhythms. Incorporating almost no melody or harmony, this is truly a tribalistic song. In no way does this song refer to a Christian or Hebrew God. It does, however, point to the inner God that exists within the persona and ego of every human.

LYRICS
go down to the water's edge
find god
alone

find blood of men
slaughtered in hate
find realms of love

emotions
are they a weak man's lie?

ice approaches the man
who does not yet realize he is already dead
he has murdered himself
and denies that he is the guilty one
dirty is the soil with his blood
a tree of lies roots deeper within her bosom earth
he is the guilty one
he is the murderous one
he is the bleeding one
in darkness
echoing in whatever stupidity he calls his own
ignorance: the choice to ignore
not an option
not an option
burn candles and incense of flesh
rituals in the flame
fire on the body
how cold is the soul
centered about an axis of mind
god is the lonely one
ripping flesh from inside the heart
tearing and shredding (intense wanton melancholy)
tired of living as nothing
as no one
god is released once again to the ugly side of man
melting
echoing
turning
crying
hating
not feeling
not feeling
emotions are the lie
he tells himself he must believe
he must believe
in god
in death
because when he murders himself again
his throne in hell must be bigger
than everyone elses
