DESCRIPTION
Blakrane is a song that tells a story about a little boy's tragedy. Some people have asked us if the song is biographical -- to which we say "no" -- it's just a story. We were trying to express innocence corrupted by terrible, tragic death in a child's life (a car accident that killed his entire family) and guilt associated with that later in adulthood. At one point Keldot was taking a 3D computer animation class at UNM -- he created some logos and a short animated film that was to be expanded into a larger "video" for Blakrane. The video was never completed.

LYRICS
not everything is meant to be
not every life is meant to see
not everyone is meant to know this god

broken child with angel wings
broken child knows everything
black rainy days ahead
black rain falling on his head

metal (bone)
scraping (glass)
skin (blood everywhere)

mother father brother sister
jesus christ trembling loss
i said black rain

metal (bone)
scraping (glass)
skin (blood everywhere)

open wounds fester with reflection
son returns to his mother's mausoleum
the moon leads him a gaping tomb
in the flesh of his memory

he wanders among the graves
wondering where he'll sleep when it comes to him
he knows it will
he knows it well
he knows ... I SAID BLACK RAIN
