Stupid newbie. Do you have to have a website to be able to have MP3 Files. Is pro tools mp3 or wav or what? I have a bunch of songs i'd like ya'll to hear but am truly clueless in the cyber world andit's workings. I'm just the poor crazy musician. any help ( hold the flames) would be appreciated!!+ |

You dont have to have a website to post mp3's. There's directions on how to do it on this site. Dont worry your not the only one who's new to the whole cyber world. Sometimes I feel like a virgin when it comes to computers----what do I do? Do I stick it in like this or like this? Ahhh man I've been denied access........... |

Protools as far as I know (which isnt much) mixes down to wav - with my lack of experience on that software, i am unsure if there is an "export to mp3" function - but I would reccomend using the Lame mp3 encoder, with the Razor frontend for it, check out this article that Efesar wrote about mp3 - it gives advice, as well as direct links to get the RazorLame encoder/frontend ... check it out, man:
