For a few weeks now, I can't hear any music from the Myspace.com streaming music player. Play, stop, rewind, forward. Volume up, down. Internet Explorer, Firefox. Reload. Cache reload. Different computers. Different internet connections. Login. No login.
It loads the XML file ... shows the image, the play button, lyrics, images, etc. Then ... nothing.
Any clues? Suggestions? News? |

it's working, but myspce isn't. Tom is such a moron that he of course made 200 million dollars off the f'ing thing and he can't upgrade his servers enough to handle the load - I've had the same issue. somedays it works, other days it's crap, but I think it's just 'cuz myspace sucks. |

i uploaded a new song on wednesday night and it still hasn't posted. myspace is def glitchy. whereas myspace is a useful networking tool, i feel it inflates the value of whatever the end result it promotes. yes, i'm on it. yes, it helps get the word to the masses, but i'm beginning to see it as a lazy way out that has become the standard medium for internet promotion. why bother building a informative website anymore? why bother building a site for the sake of art? it's too easy now. easy isn't art or music, it's utilitarian. when melody, harmony and rhythm can be created without difficulty or pressure, well, it's over my friends. Look at K-Fed. I'd like to see a rennaisance in web site creativity which is why I'm revamping my domain. That's my 2 cents. |

i think it's a great innovation in many ways, but let's face it, how many of us have sold a CD thru our myspace page and a person who heard our music on it? I've sold one - and found one guy who REALLY likes my music and buys stuff. beyond that, it's just kinda there. it's great promo, but it annoys me to see so many bands using just their myspace acct. as their band page - it has no flavour to it.
'sides, that fucker Tom has $260 million dollars... buy a fucking server room, you douche. |

I had a website not so long ago, it cost too much to keep and barely any response or feedback came of it, what's the point unless i use it to sell cdr's, between B-Luv & MS i can network to book out of town and get folks to check out a healthy amount of what i do. So even though it is buggy i dig myspace. Kay is my favorite powerhouse recluse in this finnicky local "electro" music arena for many reasons, seriously how easy is this site to use and utilise, again and always props! |

I generally just go after other players to stream my music. Myspace player sucks because it buffers even if you aren't on dial up. Downloading songs is okey but not the greatest. But yeah Tom needs to stop focusing so much on updates making it better and fix the problems. |
