dave attell (of Comedy Central/Insomniac fame) came to Albuquerque apparently and shot an episode of his show. generally, he goes to bars late at night and fucks with the drunks. he recently came to albuquerque, as reported in the alibi here:
[film_section.html @ alibi.com in /alibi/current]
Unfortunately, I was working when it aired but of course it will air again in reruns.
***The show begins (as it always does) with Attell wrapping up a comedy gig (at Laff's Comedy Café). Attell gets in a few digs at Albuquerque drivers who don't use their turn signal (shows he was paying attention), and heads out into our fair city. Attell kicks off his local jaunt hanging out at a Scorpions concert at the Journal Pavilion. It's not exactly the most "local" of starts, but does offer a good view of Albuquerque's middle-aged headbanger scene. From there, Attell heads straight to Albuquerque's prime drinking district, Central Avenue Downtown. Favorite local liquor joints such at the Launchpad, Downtown Distillery, Anodyne and Pearl's Dive are among the night's stopovers. Look quickly and you might spot a few of your friends. There's Leah Black from 103.3 The Zone! There's Mike Trujillo from "Zero Hour"! At one point, Attell adopts a freshly minted 21-year-old named Tom and introduces him to the mystery and wonder of Jaegermeister. Good to see Attell volunteering to act as a mentor to local youth.
The Albuquerque episode of "Insomniac With Dave Attell" airs Thursday, Dec. 19 at 11:30 p.m. *** |

i watched it saturday night/sunday morning. i always watch insomniac w/ dave attell, and i am not saying this because it's abq, but, that was one of the most boring-est episodes of that show i have seen. he prolly was here on a week night. mon,tue or wed.there was no one around where ever he went. |

Actually I read that COPS will stop filming in burque cause the mayor dosn't think it "projects a posative image"...
Sorry.
