DESCRIPTION
Osiris is an experiment in distortion. The purpose of Orion is to see how much distortion your speakers will handle before tearing. No, just kidding. It's actually an interpretation of a religious experience Keldot had. One year, 1996, there was a summetime event called Outlandish, held by the SCA (Society for Creative Anarchronism). The event was held out in the middle of the desert, hundreds of miles from any actual civilization. The entire event was focused around the middle ages. Everybody was dressed in antiquated clothing and the atmosphere was drastically different from any reality conceived in today's society. So on the final day, after a week of drinking, eating psychedelic mushrooms, laced marijuana and what not, Keldot lay alone in his tent, sweltering in the desert heat, paranoid and delusional on too many drug combinations. Keldot began hallucinating that he could communicate with the Gods. He became talking to the spirits and entities, making requests for them to prove themselves to him. In various little ways each of the Gods he attempted to communicate made themselves known. Then Keldot spoke the word "Osiris" and at that very second the sky rumbled with the loudest, longest, nearest and brightest lightning strike he had ever seen. That is when Keldot realized that Osiris is an angry, very powerful God. And so he wrote this song to portay that experience.
